How to Set Up Shopify with Productiv to Ship Your Orders Seamlessly

Written by Paul Baker | July 1, 2025

If you're using Shopify and need to connect to a cloud-based WMS like Extensiv, the good news is it's usually done in under an hour—often during one call. Productiv for example uses Extensiv Integration Manager to connect your store to our warehouse operations. Here’s a simple checklist to get started.

Step 1: Provide Your Shopify Store ID

Your Store ID is located in the URL when you're logged into Shopify. It looks something like this:

https://your-store-name.myshopify.com/admin

This ID helps us identify and link your store to our integration tools properly.

Step 2: Share the Admin Email

We'll need the Admin Email ID associated with your Shopify store. This allows us to send you the integration request directly from Extensiv Integration Manager. Make sure it’s the same email that has access to approve third-party apps.

Step 3: Install the Extensiv Integration Manager App

Next, install the Extensiv Integration Manager app from the Shopify App Store. This app acts as the bridge between your Shopify store and our WMS (Warehouse Management System), ensuring your orders, tracking info, and inventory flow smoothly between systems.

  • Go to the Shopify App Store
  • Search for "Extensiv Integration Manager"
  • Click “Install App”
  • Approve permissions to allow syncing of orders and data

Once installed, we’ll configure the integration on our side to begin pulling in orders.

Step 4: Set Productiv as Your Shipping Location

To make sure orders route to our warehouse, update your Shopify settings to designate Productiv’s warehouse as the shipping point:

  • In Shopify, go to Settings > Locations
  • Add a new location and name it “Productiv Fulfillment” (or similar)
  • Use the warehouse address we provide
  • Assign products to this location
  • Ensure it is selected for order fulfillment routing

This step ensures that orders tagged for fulfillment get sent to the right place—us!

Step 5: Align SKU Naming Between Shopify and Productiv

For the integration to work perfectly, SKU names in Shopify must exactly match the SKUs in Productiv’s system. Double-check spelling, punctuation, and formatting—any mismatch will cause order processing delays.

If you need help aligning your catalog, our onboarding team is happy to assist with a SKU mapping template.

Final Thoughts

That's it. Extensiv has reduced the IT burden on brands to integrate with the fulfillment centers that run its WMS.
